History

The Diamond Urn was born in Arkansas, also known as "The Diamond State", home of the world's only diamond-bearing site accessible to the public.  Kay Smith founded the idea when her mother expressed her wishes to be cremated.  Kay began to think of all of the traditional urns, which mostly resembled vases and boxes.

Scanning the room for an accurate depiction of her beloved mother, she spotted her great-grandmother's diamond-shaped perfume bottle.  She immediately placed it on a pillow and presented it to her mother. Kay proclaimed, "I would rather see you in something like this!"

After spending countless hours with patent attorneys, design teams and manufacturers, the complicated crystal model came to fruition.  Unfortunately, Kay's great-grandmother of Gum Springs, AR, passed away at age 99 before seeing the models. In her honor on what would've been her 100th birthday, Kay named the parent company Peaceful Diamond Co.

The company's motto is "A Diamond is a Treasure".
